Here is your chance to try something most people only ever get to dream of in a fun, supportive and safe environment open to horse and riders new to cattle or riders looking to improve their skill set. You'll enjoy all the fun of learning to work your horse on cattle in the arena, out gathering pairs on the range and much much more!

What's Included
Saturday night BBQ of School House Ranch grass fed burgers
Camping and an outdoor layover pen for your horse if you choose to stay overnight. Able to stay Friday-Monday if you wish. Participants are responsible for the care, feeding and cleanup of their horse.
Coffee, tea, water, and breakfast snackies during the morning strategy portion of the clinic.
Make your own sandwich from the sandwich bar provided for lunch.
2 full days of clinic instruction with Carleigh Jensan.
Trails available for riding outside clinic time.
Fun, laughs, and great experiences for yourself and your horse.
Format
Clinic runs Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday Schedule
9 AM we discuss strategy in the beautifully done conference room above the barn.
Next we head to the outdoor arena to fine tune you and your horse's skills that will be needed for the day.
Enjoy a great lunch and make your own sandwich from the lunch options provided.
In comes the yearling cattle where we put those arena skills to good use, improving and working through many different skills and exercises on cattle.
Day 1 ends with a ride out on the range to get the lay of the land and a feel for how our big cattle roundup will go.
Sunday Schedule
Day 2 starts with another breakfast strategy meeting before we head to the arena to warm up our horses and then......
Out we ride as a team on the range where we will gather cow/calf pairs to work with through different cattle exercises with our horses ending the day with pushing them back on range.
We accept between 10-12 Riders for this clinic to ensure adequate numbers for the many team exercises we do in groups.
Enjoy cowboying together and working as a team to accomplish different challenges with the cattle.

Is this clinic suitable for me and my horse?
This clinic is suitable for all levels of cow experience and is welcoming to all disciplines whether western or english. Come enjoy my supportive and fun teaching style. If you're unsure if riding out on the range is suitable for you and your horse at this time you're welcome to sit that portion out and watch the group bring in the herd or do it in hand. Ground work and safety is always encouraged and any portion of the clinic can be enjoyed in hand if that's the safest option.
Cost and cancellation policy
Deposit of $200 is required to book your spot with the $400 remaining payment due 1 month prior to clinic start date. Deposits are non refundable unless we are able to fill your space in the clinic and prior to the 1 month full payment cutoff date.

My program has a strong basis in ground work, confidence building, and horsemanship both under saddle and in hand.
Horses for training on the ranch have access to 24/7 turnout in individual pens and pastures. The ranch has a 70 x 150 indoor riding arena, bison, flag, outdoor obstacle course, round pen, indoor obstacles, 127 acres of trails on the ranch full of natural obstacles, open pastures, treed areas, 3 sides of crown-land for endless exposure opportunities, and 125x250 outdoor arena currently under construction and more.
Opportunities for hauling to other locations for showing, clinics and occasional ranching or camping experiences at additional cost as availability allows. Regularly travelling for Reined Cowhorse shows with ASHA, ARCHA and CCRCHA for competitions.
Horses are expected to be up to date on all regular vet and farrier care, deworming, teeth, etc.
Training is $1365 per month, minimum 3 month commitment. This includes training, board, feed program, and GST. I'm happy to feed additional supplements supplied. Farrier, vet, hauling, showing, and all additional fees are not included.
I have a huge passion for teaching all levels. I have taught many clinics and groups for Reined Cowhorse, Cattle Penning, Cattle Sorting, Ranching and Practical Cow Work, Mountain Trail, Flag, Bison, Training on the Trail, Groundwork and Liberty, Backcountry Packing and Preparation, Desensitizing and Confidence Building, Obstacles, and more!
I currently run regular clinics at my own ranch on Green Lake located between 100 Mile House and 70 Mile House.
I also regular clinics at School House Ranch in the 103 Mile area, as well as many other facilities and locations around BC.

My ranch as well as many of the other facilities do have camping and pens available. Depending on the format those may or may not be included in the price of your event. Pen cleanup, feeding and care of your horse are the riders responsibility.
I offer private, semi private and group sessions. I have extensive experience in many areas of horsemanship and am very passionate about coaching in a fun and positive style. You can expect that my lessons will be fun and supportive towards all levels of riders from beginners to competitive riders, My biggest passion is Reined Cowhorses which are 3 different aspects of exhilarating western riding. Reining, cutting and taking a cow down the fence. I enjoy instructing all levels of this sport whether it is something you're curious about to try something new and improve your skill set as something fun to do with your horse or have competitive aspirations. I also teach lessons for people looking to further their relationship and communication with their horse, improve their skills, work the flag, work bison, learn about obstacles, training on the trail, groundwork and liberty, confidence building, mountain trail, problem solving and more. I'm happy to work with you and your horse to meet any goals you have. Adult and teen lessons are 1 hour and younger children's lessons run in 1/2 hour sessions.
Private lessons
Single 1 hour lesson - $80 or 1/2 hour child's lesson $40.
Package of 5 - $375 (Save $5 per lesson) or 10 children lessons running 1/2 hour.
Package of 10 - $700 (Save $10 per lesson).

I have more availability currently for riders bringing their own horses, however, I do have a limited amount of lesson horses and kids ponies available for students on a regular weekly lesson schedule.

Most private and semi private lessons are run on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons/evenings.
